Carpal Tunnel Pain

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is characterized by pain, numbness, and/or tingling along the median nerve in the wrist and hand. The carpal tunnel, where the median nerve travels, is narrow and bound by bones, ligaments etc . Narrowing of this tunnel places pressure on the nerve, which causes symptoms. Overuse, (especially typing in non-ergonomically designed work stations) and injury are typical causes of carpal tunnel syndrome.

According to the National Institutes of Health, acupuncture has been proven to treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Multiple studies suggest that acupuncture releases pressure on the median nerve , restores normal nerve function, and provides lasting relief, even in patients following failed surgical release procedures.

Depending on your constitution, we will directly treat the pain/numbness in your wrist, hand, and fingers, while also stimulating organs associated with the health of tendons, nerves, and inflammation.
